"The land of Chiusdino painted and hung on the window

Under the great gate of heaven along the natural history tours of the area Chiusdino of the nature occurs again filled with the beauty. Vestige of our history here and there scattered throughout this land, testify to our origins, appear as severe oracles that we wonder about our future destiny. Connect those vestiges of old roads and paths, walkways and more than a thousand times one thousand paths draw a path that leads straight down to us. How hard up the crests of hills in the woods of oak, hard work spread to the valley to fields and thus in the mines and quarries, everywhere. The age-old effort to live is just tempered by faith, the substance of a peasant. Now a blanket of forgetfulness seems to have fallen in those places and a long silence over a thousand years attracts tourists enough for a subsistence economy.
Beyond the call of the reasons the City of Chiusdino for our pictorial, we are interested are studying in contact with nature in order to better understand it. In view of the memory of those places, seeking those forms that are the content of our perception. No program, no bias, rather than an opportunity for us all to live this experience in order that our commitment and our works are able to involve the villagers to celebrate with a big party in that territory.

The young artists, having to work directly on the ground, will be housed in a building designated by the City of Chiusdino for the duration of the laboratory for artistic research and have access to spaces where they can paint as long as necessary for the performance of the creative experience. The Academy of Fine Arts in Florence will the conclusion of the insurance premium for all participants identified.


First phase of the project

provides the programming of the first phase, from May to August 2007, in which there will be a preliminary work on the land to produce accurate documentation and early studies both graphical and painting to be carried out later in the final stage.


Second phase of the project

The second phase will take place during September-October 2007 and March-May 2008 with the same conditions as the first phase of hospitality, organization and insurance.
studies graphic and pictorial already produced in the first intervention will be made on special canvas designed by theme, size and shape, only to be properly exposed. The idea is to be able to decorate the entire town of Chiusdino with the images that young artists were specially created. So consider an exhibition with works that flooded streets, squares and houses of the country, as if every resident had hung on the window or find a way to glimpse the countryside, the hills, the wooded landscape and floral, with the aim of celebrating the beauty of nature in that territory with a big party "in the country decorated with art."
The event will take place from July to September, accompanied and supported by events.
